How does the word scramble work?
You get 10 words, one at a time, with their letters in a random order. Type the word: as soon as you have it right, it is accepted and the next one appears. If you are stuck, Skip shows you the word and moves on. The words are common English words of five to seven letters, picked at random from a list of 204.
Can a scramble have two answers?
Not here. Many words share their letters with another word: "listen" and "silent", "garden" and "danger". Every word in this game was checked against ENABLE, a public-domain list of about 173,000 English words, and kept only if no other word uses exactly the same letters. So the word you are looking for is the only possible answer.
How is your result calculated?
Your result is how many of the 10 words you solved, and the time from the first word to the last. Skipped words count as unsolved.
How do you unscramble words faster?
- Look for common pairs. Letters like TH, CH, SH, ER and ING usually sit together in English.
- Try endings first. Many words end in -ER, -LE, -ON or -ET. Fix the end and the start often falls into place.
- Put the vowels between consonants. Rearranging so consonants and vowels alternate often shows the word.
